Yaya Bangoura : D’abord, j’ai commencé tout petit dans les années 1972-1973 par le “Syli Authantic” ………..
In the sixties and the seventies, each Guinean region had its own band. The capital city, Conakry, had 3 bands: Kaloum Star, Camayenne Sofa and Syli Authentique. The lead singer of Syli Authentique was Yaya Bangoura, the flutist Aguibou Barry (died in a car crash 1978), the lead guitar and band leader Boubacar Bah. The popularity of Syli Authentique reached its peak in 1976 with the hit Andrée, a praise song to the then First Lady of Guinea.
Cool, nice info Guinean..
