Sam Mangwana, l’Intérnational – Les Chiens Aboient, La Caravane Passe, RAS 1981

Sam Mangwana, front

This LP by Sam Mangwana is on the Nigerian RAS label, I am
not exactly sure but it seems to be a Nigerian recording.
Either way, it spins just fine. The title of this album
does not come from one of the tracks, does it mean
life goes on?

tracks;

1 Toboyi te
2 Chérie Magy
3 Afrique – Antilles = Un
4 A la Camerounaise

Love Sam Mangwana, just posted ‘Sam Mangwana et l’African All Stars: N’Simba Eli’ on saturday.

  2. First, a lot of thanks for all the good music you offer to us all.

I’m glad to give you my explanation about that funny title.

You miss it if you don’t understand french, and it’s really a shame, but Sam Mangwana is very fond of french proverbs.

Les chiens aboient, la caravane passe is a proverb from arab origin which means something like “Let them bark, we go on”.

    François from Provence

  3. not life goes on, but theres an idea… “the dog barks, still the caravan passes by” means follow your path wathever peoples disses and say bout you 🙂

Yeah , continue to bring us those rips 🙂 my last big pleasure is thesir victor uwaifo you dropped a few days ago, much thx 🙂

(ps; there’ s some mangwana on my last mix, but from this album)
