other part of the world attracts so many listeners. Prince Nico is
back and he’s kind of restless.

  1. Don’t worry…the African stuff is just harder to find. There are lots of places to get samba and son and the like, but the good African stuff is still available at a pretty limited number of places.

    Just to be clear…you are one of the best sources…but I seem to see lots more from Brasil and South America than I do from Africa…both in the stores and on the web.

    I was trying to be encouraging…keep putting up the non-African stuff…it’s great.

  5. Moos, I asked myself why for the last 20 years I only hear African music and I think the main reason is that is extroverted music.

    Other music are very beautiful but introverted and each one of us requires different content depending on their personality.

    I think quite a lot of stuff on samba are available if you google meticulously. Simply put in “samba blogspot” or “x blogspot” where x here represents a particular artist or band and you will get loads of links. The web is a mine field and with patience you will succeed!
    Much more, thank you global groove for this wonderful music. I grew up in the 80s Nigeria and never knew half of these albums from these wonderful artists ever existed. Keep it up! Long live world music!!
