Always a pleasure to listen to the legendary 'Les Bantous de la Capitale'. We find a number of great musicians on this album, Pamelo Mounk'a, Kosmos Moutouari, Nino Malapet, jean Serge Essous, Celestin N'Kouka, Samba Mascot & Passy Mermans among others. Het is de eerste keer dat ik dit label zie, Grand Zeer uit Brazzaville. De band hebben we wel eerder laten passeren, le Peuple heeft hier reeds een stuk of zes albums gehad. Ze smaken zoals ze kraken.. Bij het zien van een jaren 70 Congolese elpee op Pathé Marconi gaat het hart direkt wat sneller kloppen. Dit is er zo eentje. Wat een prachtige plaat weer. We had some of their albums already but this one is quite different. The tracks are all melted together like we see on many lp's from Nigerian and Ghanaian bands. We had several of their lp's before. Pierre Moutouari, and his brother Kosmos were part of this great band through the seventies. This is Orchestre Sinza, the mordant sound of their electric guitars is brought to expression in this wonderful frontcover image. We heard him with Orchestre Sossa and with Orchestre Sinza Kotoko. Pierre Moutouari and his brothers Michel and Kosmos participated in quite some bands. Every song was written by another member of the group. Next to the brothers Pierre and Kosmos Moutouari, this band had some excelent writers. Fidèle Samba, Jean-Pierre Mapounga, Daniel Fouilou, Jaques Kimbembé, Alphonse Bahouka, Luc Kounkou, Anatole Bokasso, Gabriel Dianzolo and Hyacinte Malonga.
