Various Artists – Sound d’Afrique II, ‘Soukous’,

I had this LP waiting and promised some time now, Pt. 1 was posted
some weeks ago. It contains music from different countrys, in
different styles and was a hot item, back in the 80’s.
As far as I’m concerned, it still is.

Deze nuziek draaiden ze vroeger op de VPRO-radio diep in de nacht en dan steeds maar 1 uur. Ik heb elke week heel wat uurtjes slaap gemist om het programma maar niet te missen. Het was elders nooit te horen!!! De tapes heb ik nog, maar afdraaien geeft veel slijpsel op de kop. Ben hier dus heeeeel erg blij mee. Fantastisch! Ik draai helemaal door! Thanx!

Back in those days I spend every week one hour deep in the night for my recorder to tape the VPRO-radio-program that brought as the only one this kind of music. So I missed a lot of sleep, but it was worth it. So I’ve got this music on tapes. To be able to listen to it digitally makes me crazy of happiness. Thanks a lot! You make my day – again!
